Real Poker Tables
Our poker room features dedicated, physical poker tables built for comfortable, face-to-face play. Tables are designed for optimal card handling and chip placement, and seating is arranged to encourage social interaction.
Live Poker.
Poker at MAPLE HEARTH ROOM takes place in person at real physical tables with cards, chips and players seated together in the same room. It is not online poker.
- Real physical tables, not virtual ones.
- Physical cards and chips are used.
- Players are seated face-to-face.
- On-site staff are present to manage the game.
The Real Deal
Physical Cards
We use high-quality physical playing cards, shuffled and dealt by hand, ensuring a genuine poker experience. Cards are standard poker size and weight, and dealing is done by on-site staff or players, not software.
Poker Chips
Real clay composite poker chips are used for betting, adding to the tactile and authentic feel of the game. Chips are standard casino weight and chip values are clearly marked.
Face-to-Face Play
Players sit together at the same table, reading expressions and engaging in the social dynamics of live poker. There are no screens or virtual avatars, and interaction is immediate and personal.
The Poker Room Experience
A Focused Environment
The poker room is designed to provide a focused, comfortable setting for serious and casual players alike. Lighting is adjusted for optimal card visibility, and seating is ergonomic for long sessions. The room is arranged so that every player has clear sightlines to the table and the dealer, while the overall atmosphere remains calm and unhurried.
Social and Respectful
We foster a social yet respectful atmosphere where players can enjoy the game and the company. Players are expected to follow standard poker etiquette, and staff are available to ensure fair play and resolve any issues. Conversation is welcome, but the focus always returns to the cards, the chips, and the people across the table.
On-Site Staff
Our on-site staff are trained to manage the poker games, handle chips, and ensure that play is conducted fairly and smoothly. Staff include dealers and floor managers, and they are available to answer questions and assist players throughout the evening.
- Dealers — shuffle and deal physical cards, manage the pot, and keep the game moving at a comfortable pace.
- Floor managers — oversee table assignments, resolve disputes, and make sure house rules are followed.
- Support staff — handle chip exchanges, refreshments, and any other needs that arise during play.
18+ Only
The poker room is strictly for adults aged 18 and older. Valid government-issued photo ID is required for entry. This policy is in accordance with Alberta regulations, and no exceptions are made.
